Poistettu: 1957 (lähde HKL ltk 5.4.1957); todennäköisesti ollut käyttämättömänä vuodesta 1953, jolloin uutena hankittu hiomavaunu toimitettiin.
Muutostöiden yhteydessä vuonna 1921 sivuikkunat pienennetty puupaneelein, ja vaunu maalattu harmaaksi. Hiomalaitteistosta ei liene säilynyt tarkempaa kuvausta. Vaunun ajomoottoreina oli 2 kpl UIC-moottoreita.
Vaunu poistettiin vuonna 1953 ensimmäisen Schörling-hiomavanun valmistuttua, mutta romutettiin tiettävästi vasta vuonna 1957.

Hiomavaunu / Rail grinder 2118 vuonna / year 1985 Saksasta tilattu Schörling-hiomavaunu 1 korvasi Kummer-vaunusta rakennetun vaunun T 1 (ent. A 1).
Vaunu on saksalainen perusmallinen hiomavaunu.
Ajomoottoreina on 2 x Strömberg GHAT-78.

The Schörling rail grinder No 1 replaced car T 1 (formerly A 1) built out of an old Kummer car. The car is a German basic-model rail grinder. It had two grinding stones on each side between the axles, and water nozzles beside them. The stones could be lifted and lowered as needed.
The traction motors are 2 x Strömberg GHAT-78. The controllers are of ”back-and-forth” (or coffee mill) type embedded in a steering table, produced by AEG.
Red and yellow warning stripes were added to both ends of the car before the mid 1970’s. Later on, the colour was changed to a smaller black and yellow striping, and subsequently, the striping has again been raised in proportion. Nowadays, there’s even additional yellow coating on the side walls.
Car 2118 travelled in 1992 on a transporting cradle to Gothenburg where the workshop of Göteborgs Spårvägar removed the water tanks and mounted instead a steel wire brush entity run by a gas motor according to GS’s ”Borsta-Erik” (”Brush Eric”) solution.
Therefore, the car now has an exhaust pipe on its roof, and the rubber hems of the chassis keep the dust from spreading while the car is being used (at first, the hems were of metal, but they gathered cobblestones with them and were hence removed).
The car has since 1993 officially been called ”work car” (it says so on the side walls, although the text boxes on both ends still read ”rail grinder”).
The purpose of use for this car is to remove the slippery paste formed on the rails by falling tree leaves crushing under the wheels every autumn by effectively brushing the rails.
The car has always been bidirectional even though it’s nowadays usually used as one-directional. In 2010 it was told that the car is no longer being used because of its great dust disadvantages.

The car was finally scrapped in 2011, replaced by the Windhoff multi-purpose vehicle No 2010.

Vaunu 2119 on edelleen hiomavaunu, johon on tehty lähinnä kaksi suurempaa muutosta: painevesijärjestelmä pelkän huuhtelun sijaan sekä hiomakivien kosketuspaineen säätömahdollisuus (eli käytännössä hiomakiviä voi nyt käyttää myös kiskojarrun korvikkeena). Vaunuun on rakennettu myös viisto ihmissuoja toisen päädyn alle.
Kahden vuoden ikäerostaan huolimatta vaunut olivat vuoteen 1992 saakka identtisiä.
Vaunu on alusta asti ollut kaksisuuntainen, joskin vaunua käytetään nykyään yleensä yksisuuntaisena.

Car 2119 is still a rail grinder. It has undergone only two major changes: pressurized water system instead of mere rinsing, and the possibility to adjust the rail contact power of the grinding stones (i.e. the grinding stones can now even be used as rail brake replacements). A diagonal protective shield has also been constructed under the other end to prevent pedestrians from getting under the wheels in case of an accident. Despite their two-year age difference, the cars (2118 and 2119) were identical till the year 1992.
The car has always been bidirectional even though it’s nowadays usually used as one-directional.

The car was to be abandoned in 2012 after the arrival of the second new Windhoff multi-purpose vehicle. But engines and drive clutches were necessary in the winter 2011-12 to the old snow brush cars
